Here's the info. They average less than 50% of the stadium's capacity so...... On average there are about 5,000 tickets available for each game. Why does it not shock me that Collins has a Captain Kirk outfit?
A team with a losing record at home and despite a brand new $43 million stadium can't sell a game out. Stop listening to Rob Crain tell you how great of a job he's doing and look at the facts.

After two years with no baseball, Crain and the rest of the Rail Riders, are averaging less than 50% of PNC's capacity per game (9th out of 14 teams). It's pretty impressive that the county spent $43 million to increase capacity by 2,000 per game. A tidy sum of $21,500 per fan.

Sell the place out. One time. Until then Donnie and the Times can keep making excuses, giving the team a free pass and tell us how great every thing is.

Re: RailRiders heading home. At third, I've seen him as much as anybody else has. I think he's OK there. He definitely has enough arm to make it work, and his footwork is getting better. He needs to get more consistent with it, as he has booted a couple of plays that he should make. But remember, he's relatively new over there, and he has come a long way already. Certainly, he's a better third baseman than Joseph would be.

Re: RailRiders heading home. It is possible that he was given a financial incentive to accept the move, such as a promise of a higher salary than he had when he was put on waivers, but I'm not sure if that can be made public. Since he was released, I believe he also received a separation payment, as required under the players collective bargaining agreement. I believe that the yankees did the same thing with Humbertio Sanchez a few years ago.

I hope he gets called up this year at some point. Not sure what kind of fielder he is though.

Re: Prospect No. 2: Mark Montgomery

Regarding Montgomery's size, he has about the same build as David Robertson who is also the same height and five pounds heavier.

Re: Prospect No. 3: Jose Ramirez

Regarding the is he big enough question, he is the same size as David Robertson, who is the same height, 5'11'' and 5 lbs heavier.

Re: Prospect No. 3: Jose Ramirez

Glad to see you're back keeping us informed, Donnie. His fastball location is so good, and he gets such great late life on it, I think the slider just needs to be there once in a while, really. He also can throw the fastball with more sink and a different break, then also a rising one to keep hitters off balance, and the change, of course, which is hard to identify because he throws it from the same arm angle. Anyhow, the slider looked like a workable pitch from what I saw.

Re: Prospect No. 6: Slade Heathcott

Just for your info I never went to prison need to check info before u post it.....

Re: Apparently, this is the active roster

No Romanski either?
Do you see Cody Johnson and Leguim Barroso as candidates for the final spots? If not, I'd imagine Johnson would be cut. Barroso could also be in Tampa. I don't know a lot about him.

On the pitching-side, where are Pope and Betances going to be? I guess Pope has been around awhile, so it wouldn't be surprising if he were to be released like Heyer just was, but Betances obviously has to be somewhere. Is he hurt? If he isn't hurt and isn't in Trenton, then he has got to be on the roster.

Re: RailRiders get their third baseman…back

Donnie, will you ask Adams if there was an agreement in place with Cashman before the release?

Re: Prospect No. 9: Zoilo Almonte

Any new news on Betance's injury, Donnie?
